We used Painting Express to paint our entire house in Highland Park. They had come strongly recommended from other friends in the area. We had gotten other bids from other contractors. But decided to go with Painting Express since they came highly recommended from friends. Steve the owner was very knowledgable and experienced in the type of work we needed done. Also there prices were very competitive.

I had just purchased a home in Glenview. And I needed help painting the interior. A colleague of mine had referred me over to Painting Express. I contacted them via email. And was very surprised at how fast I got a response. I had a consultation set up the following day with one of the owners “Steve”
He showed up on time, was nice and very professional. He was very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. I called a few other contractors to get estimates as well. But most seemed unreliable and took too long for a response, even after I called them again. Painting express was the most professional and reliable, the price was also very fair. When I decided to proceed with painting express, Steve met with me and my wife. He had great design ideas and helped us to pick out the best colors for our home. We took his advice in installing wallpaper in the dining room. Both my wife and I are very thrilled as it gave the room just that touch of elegance it needed (thanks Steve!) The work crew were all professionals, and it showed in the quality of the work they did. I was very impressed by Painting express. We appreciate the attention to detail and excellent painting work done by Painting Express. The garage doors look BETTER than new! We are so grateful for your help in solving our headache with the doors, and help in selecting stains and finishes as well as making suggestions on further care and maintenance. Our house was less then two years old, when we noticed the finish on our garage door was flaking and completely falling off. We saw the Painting Express crew working next door at our neighbors. So we figured we would walk over and ask them for there help. One of the guys working on the job was Mike, one of the owners. After we explained our situation, he was very polite and offered to take a look. After Inspecting the doors, he realized that they were improperly applied by the previous contractor. And that they also used inferior cheap materials. He gave us a solution immediately, as well as a price on the spot! He offered us a lot of Information on exterior wood care and finishes. and you could tell just by talking to him that he had a lot of experience in the trade. He explained to us the difference in finishes, and explained how UV light will not only damage the wood, but also the finish itself, eventually resulting in finish failure. He recommended a good finish containing UV-blockers.
We are especially appreciative of the care taken in preparing surfaces, stripping the doors down, applying top-quality stain and varnish, and protecting floors and other unpainted areas. The end results make it very clear the skill, ability and hard work of yourself and employees. All of our friends and family think we purchased brand new garage doors. (but our secret is that we really hired the pros at painting express)Thank you Painting Express for your outstanding work and reliability. Please extend our thanks to your crew members. I hired Painting Express to apply a Epoxy Floor in my 3200 sqft dream garage and I couldn't be more pleased. They were more reasonable then the Competitors. And offered custom floor colors and customized the decorative color chips for me. What a Wonderful company to deal with. The owner came over for the estimate and a detailed explanation of the process with product samples. From start to finish, it was flawless process. I would most certainly recommend Painting Express for Epoxy Floor installation. My neighbors all hired craigslist contractors or did the process themselves and every one of them was extremely disappointed with the Epoxy found in retail stores and workmanship. After reading the Painting Express reviews. I hired them and you should too. We love our new garage floor and our neighbors are jealous! THANKS GUYS!!

They were the highest of the three paint estimates we received but it just felt right. Total professionals that had the painting process down to a science, and you can tell they take pride in their work. We never felt they we rushing to move on to the next job. They even completed a few items that weren't included in the intial scope of the work just to make the overall appearance that much better, all at no additional expense to us. DON'T choose this company if you want a cheap, crappy paint job. DO pick them if quality is important to you. I would hire them again without a question. Don't go with anyone else. It would be a mistake, that you of course would have to call painting express to fix.

Steve and Mike did an amazing job on several rooms in our home and hard to paint areas with high ceilings. They also adressed several areas where a water leak had damaged the drywall. When we moved into our new Home, the last thing we wanted to worry about was painting the interior. Having tried to paint a bedroom before, I knew that it was a job better left to the Pros. We were pleasantly surprised with how easy Painting Express made it! We are glad we found Painting Express online! We had a short time frame in which the work could be completed between the closing and our moving date. On a really short notice the guys at painting express came through. I can't recommend Steve enough if you need interior painting done. He did all the painting and prep himself and is an all-around pleasant and considerate person. His work ethic is crazy, I don't think he ever even took a break for lunch. He got my place done in 3 days even with all the trim, detailing and some ceiling work. The results are immaculate, especially on the edges and trim which take a perfectionist to get right. He uses the newest Benjamin Moore high quality VOC paint and there were pretty much no fumes, unlike my experience with other paints back when I did this myself at another place. I can also say that having painted an apartment myself, hiring Painting Express was worth every penny!
